BioMed Central, in association with its journal Molecular Neurodegeneration, held the 3rdInternational Conference, Molecular Neurodegeneration: Basic biology and disease pathwaysin Cannes from 10-12 September 2013. Thanks to everyone who attended and made this first European version of the conference such a stimulating and interactive meeting, having previously been held in Xiamen in 2009 and Shanghai in 2011.
The 2013 conference saw world-renowned experts present cutting-edge research on uncovering the molecular mechanisms underlying major devastating neurodegenerative diseases. The high-quality talks by both invited speakers and participants selected from the abstracts, in combination with poster presentations and the convivial atmosphere of Cannes, resulted in plenty of discussion about new treatment strategies and progress on elucidating pathogenic mechanisms.
